In the name of Allah, The Gracious, The Merciful
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
Assalam-o-alaikum wa rehmatullah,
Eid Mubarak, May Allah grant us happiness of His pleasure and enable us to reflect upon the importance and purpose of celebration of EidulAdha. I am submitting a few lines from Khutba of EidulAdha, delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Sani (Musleh Maud) RA in September 1917.
“So I advise the Jama’at, many Ahmadies say that after having accepted Hazrat Masih Maud (AS), there is no need of further action. They should remember that this is not the way to please Allah. Allah’s pleasure will only be attained by following “So Pray Thy Lord and Offer Sacrifice” (Quran 3-108) and by completely submitting to Allah and making every sacrifice. If we do not follow this then nothing else remains. Members of our Jama’at ought to understand their responsibilities. On one hand they should excel in their morals, behavior, action, deeds and piety and righteousness, and on the other hand they should be willing and ready to make every sacrifice. May Allah enable the Jama’at to recognize the importance of these times. May Allah enable us to be grateful for the favors and mercy that He has bestowed upon us and for opening the doors to His blessing through Hazrat Masih Maud (AS). When we serve our faith, let us not become proud and conceited rather we should turn to Allah, Who out of His mercy granted us the opportunity to serve" (Afazal, October, 6 1917)
I would request special prayers for members of the Jama’at in Houston area who are facing severe hardships because of unprecedented weather and flooding. May Allah protect them and ease their difficulties. I would also request to donate to Humanity First; the volunteers are working in affected areas in Texas under challenging conditions. They are in dire need of funds, JazakAllah.
